Geomeetria

Let ABCA B C be an acute triangle with AB<ACA B<A C and incentre II. Let DD be the projection of II onto BCB C. Let HH be the orthocentre of ABCA B C. Given ∠IDH=∠CBA−∠ACB\angle I D H=\angle C B A-\angle A C B, prove that AH=2⋅IDA H=2 \cdot I D.

Lahendused

Lahendus

Let H′H' be the reflection of HH in BCBC. It is well-known (and easy to prove) that H′H' lies on the circumcircle of △ABC\triangle ABC. Let OO be the circumcenter of △ABC\triangle ABC. We have

∠OH′A=∠HAO=∠BAC−∠BAH−∠OAC=∠BAC−2(90∘−∠CBA)=∠CBA−∠ACB=∠IDH=∠H′HD=∠DH′A,\begin{align*} \angle OH'A &= \angle HAO = \angle BAC - \angle BAH - \angle OAC \\ &= \angle BAC - 2(90^\circ - \angle CBA) = \angle CBA - \angle ACB \\ &= \angle IDH = \angle H'HD = \angle DH'A, \end{align*}

hence O,D,H′O, D, H' are collinear. Also note that ∠HAO=∠H′HD\angle HAO = \angle H'HD implies that AO∥HDAO \parallel HD.

Since OM∥AHOM \parallel AH, the above equality gives that A,O,EA, O, E are collinear. Let D′D' be the reflection of DD in II. It is well-known (and easy to prove) that D′D' lies on AEAE. Since AH∥OMAH \parallel OM and AD′∥HDAD' \parallel HD, quadrilateral AHDD′AHDD' is a parallelogram. Therefore ∣AH∣=∣DD′∣=2⋅∣ID∣|AH| = |DD'| = 2 \cdot |ID|.
